Rep. St. Germaine welcomes local veteran to Capitol

State Rep. Alicia St. Germaine (R-Harrison Township) today welcomed retired U.S. Air Force General Doug Slocum to the Michigan House floor. Gen. Slocum commanded the 127th Wing Selfridge ANGB and logged more than 4,100 flight hours in some of America’s most advanced fighter aircraft, including the F-4 Phantom, F-16 Fighting Falcon, and A-10 Thunderbolt II.

His leadership helped strengthen the 127th Wing, which is home to approximately 1,700 Airmen operating A-10 and KC-135 aircraft and hosts dozens of tenant organizations and thousands of military and Department of Homeland Security personnel. He was recognized on the House floor for his distinguished service and lasting contributions to Michigan and the nation.
